Focus On Republican Hypocrisy (Post 2024 Election):
https://apnews.com/article/trump-iran-regime-change-merz-87bfc28fa0498dff198895bac31f75c7
Comment: President Donald Trump on Tuesday said that “someone from within” the Iranian regime might be the best choice to take power once the U.S.-Israel military campaign is completed — but said 'most of the people we had in mind are dead'.”
"The president, who four days ago had emphatically called on Iranians to 'take over your government' once the U.S.-Israel bombardment ends, appeared to drift further away from the idea that the war presents an opportunity to end the theocratic rule that has been in place since the country’s 1979 Islamic revolution."
Comment: Imagine Iranian protesters risking their lives to overthrow the existing regime, only to have Donald Trump pulling the rug out from underneath them by changing his mind and cutting a deal with a member of the existing regime.
‘Peace President’ Breaks Record for Attacking the Most Countries
Comment: "On the campaign trail, Trump repeatedly pledged to reduce American military engagements abroad. After assuming office for the second time last January, he modeled himself as the 'President of Peace,' even claiming to have solved a highly contested number of conflicts around the world as he sought to secure himself the Nobel Peace Prize."
"In the same period, though, he has ordered strikes against targets across no less than seven nations—Iran, Nigeria, Venezuela, Iraq, Somalia, Syria and Yemen—at a rate that has already outstripped the total sanctioned by Joe Biden throughout the Democratic president’s four years at the White House, Axios reports."
Comment: "The first three of the countries targeted by Trump have never before come under attack by the U.S. His assault on Iran, which has plunged the Middle East into chaos as shockwaves ripple across the global economy, has claimed at least four U.S. service members’ lives since it began on Saturday."
" 'Sadly, there will likely be more before it ends. That’s the way it is,' the president, who dodged the Vietnam War draft on five separate occasions, said in a statement Sunday. He has warned that the fighting could last another four weeks."
"Trump’s latest assault flies directly in the face of his promises to voters on the campaign trail. 'I’m not going to start a war. I’m going to stop wars,' he told the nation in his 2024 election night victory speech."
Miller slammed for 'sending your kids to die' war hypocrisy
Comment: "The 'No New Wars' White House is being brutally mocked after President Donald Trump ordered strikes in Iran while most of the United States slept."
"White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller is among the officials with egg on their face as critics resurface a post in which he called Kamala Harris the “WWIII” presidential candidate."
"In that same post, days before the 2024 general election, Miller wrote on X that the media was pushing 'hoaxes' about which candidate would be more pro-peace."
" 'Trump said warmongering neocons love sending your kids to die for wars they would never fight themselves,' Miller wrote. “Liz Cheney is Kamala’s top advisor. Liz wants to invade the whole Middle East. Kamala = WWIII. Trump = Peace.”
"In reality, Trump—who avoided the Vietnam avoided the Vietnam War draft because of alleged “bone spurs”—now admits that victory over Iran can only be achieved with American service member casualties."

US attorney says it will not prosecute companies that cooperate in criminal investigations
https://finance.yahoo.com/news/us-attorney-says-not-prosecute-204948909.html
Comment: "Federal prosecutors plan to increase incentives for companies that cooperate during criminal investigations, including promises not to prosecute them, the U.S. Attorney in Manhattan said on Thursday."
"Jay Clayton's remarks at an industry conference come as the Justice Department is scaling back corporate crime enforcement and refocusing on immigration and drug cases under the Trump administration."
"Companies need to know there is a specific benefit to cooperating with U.S. prosecutors in rooting out wrongdoers, Clayton said at the Securities Enforcement Forum in New York."
"That includes offering companies so-called non-prosecution agreements, or NPAs — deals which Democrats have criticized in the past."
" 'Our approach is going to be: let's get an NPA signed as quickly as possible that calls for continued cooperation,' he said."
"Clayton, an appointee of President Donald Trump, said the different approach on cooperation would benefit shareholders, too."
Comment: That sounds like a heck of a "get of jail free" card. Apparently, crime DOES pay if it involves white collar crime and corporate crime favored by the wealthy. Why hold up a liquor store, when one can steal big bucks through corporate fraud, and then escape prosecution by "cooperating."
Comment: Is this what Trump means by "draining the swamp?" Is this what the GOP means by "law and order?"
Treasury's Bessent says he was wrong when he said tariffs could be inflationary
https://ca.finance.yahoo.com/news/treasurys-bessent-says-wrong-said-175515190.html
Comment: "U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent on Wednesday said he was wrong when he and his Key Square investment firm told partners in January 2024 - before U.S. President Donald Trump won the presidency - that 'tariffs are inflationary'."
Comment: How the story changes, once one becomes Trump's mouthpiece (spokesman). Of course, tariffs are inflationary.
Video: Marjorie Taylor Greene: MAGA was 'all a lie' - February 3, 2026
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/NS7IJ1ETKY0
Comment: Former Ga. congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, once a fervent MAGA supporter, now says it was "all a lie."
Trump-backed candidate for Alabama lieutenant governor haunted by use of invalid voter ID
https://www.ms.now/opinion/john-wahl-alabama-lieutenant-governor-invalid-voter-id-trump-alabama
Comment: "If one is going to base an antidemocratic crusade against purported voter fraud on a conspiracy theory, the least one could do is keep one’s own voting record squeaky-clean. And vice versa: If there are any questions that might come up about one’s own voting record, it goes without saying that one probably shouldn’t attempt to lead such a crusade."
"Enter former Alabama GOP chairman John Wahl, who stepped down last week after being endorsed by Donald Trump in the state’s Republican primary for lieutenant governor. For years, Wahl led Alabama’s GOP, fixated on bogus allegations of voter fraud by liberals, while simultaneously claiming that an ID he made for himself and admits to using to vote was valid."
Comment: Alabama politics gets national exposure, but rather embarrassing exposure. Do you think this hypocrisy will seriously damage Wahl's chances of winning the GOP primary, or do you think the Trump endorsement will be enough to make Wahl competitive here in Alabama?
ICE Shootings Are Freaking Out the GOP. They’re Afraid to Tell Trump.
Exclusive: In secret recordings, Cruz trashes Trump tariffs, Vance
https://www.axios.com/2026/01/25/cruz-trump-vance-secret-tapes
Comment: "Sen. Ted Cruz, the Texas Republican eyeing a 2028 White House run, torched Vice President Vance and ridiculed President Trump's tariff policy during private meetings with donors, according to recordings obtained by Axios."
Comment: Why are these GOP cowards afraid to speak their true opinions publicly? Or do citizens have to pony up big political contributions to get the truth from GOP politicians?
Video: Comparisons drawn between Alex Pretti, Kyle Rittenhouse in renewed 2nd Amendment debate - January 26, 2026
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I_We3N5yt8k
Comment: "Alex Pretti was legally carrying a firearm in Minneapolis, but top Trump administration officials say he did not have a right to do so. However, President Trump supported Kyle Rittenhouse after he shot and killed two men who tried grabbing his gun during protests in Wisconsin following a shooting involving police."
Gun rights groups challenge shooting of legally armed Minneapolis man
https://www.axios.com/2026/01/25/gun-groups-challenge-minneapolis-shooting-pretti
Comment: "After federal agents shot and killed a Minneapolis man allegedly carrying a concealed weapon, gun rights groups countered a federal narrative that his firearm likely justified deadly force."
Comment: "The right to publicly carry weapons is a centerpiece of Second Amendment advocacy and has emerged as a key issue in the shooting of 37-year-old ICU nurse Alex Pretti."
"The Minneapolis police chief said Pretti had a permit to carry, and videos show him holding a cell phone, not his gun, before officers wrestled him to the ground."
Comment: "Bill Essayli, Los Angeles' top federal prosecutor and a Trump ally, received fierce blowback from gun-rights groups over his Saturday claim that there is a 'high likelihood' law enforcement will be 'legally justified' in shooting someone who approaches them with a gun."
"The National Rifle Association responded on X that this sentiment was 'dangerous and wrong'."
"Gun Owners of America condemned Essayli's statement, writing that the Second Amendment 'protects Americans' right to bear arms while protesting—a right the federal government must not infringe upon.' "
Comment: "FBI director Kash Patel told Fox News' Maria Bartiromo on Sunday, 'No one who wants to be peaceful shows up at a protest with a firearm that is loaded with two full magazines.' "
"He continued, 'you cannot bring a firearm loaded with multiple magazines to any sort of protest that you want. It's that simple. You don't have that right to break the law and incite violence.' "
"Gregory Bovino, a top Border Patrol official, said on CNN's 'State of the Union" Sunday that he supports protesting with firearms, but not when 'you perpetrate violence, obstruct, delay or obfuscate Border Patrol.' He did not provide evidence that Pretti was there to perpetrate violence."
"DHS swiftly alleged in a statement that Pretti had approached U.S. Border Patrol officers with a handgun and claimed he appeared to be trying to 'massacre law enforcement'."
"Videos from the scene appear to show Pretti holding a cell phone, not his gun, before he is wrestled to the ground by officers."
"There is no current footage that shows him 'brandishing,' as Noem claimed."
Donald Trump signs MLK Day proclamation, faces criticism from some groups
Comment: "President Donald Trump recognized Jan. 19 as Martin Luther King Jr. Day through an official proclamation, calling on Americans to 'recommit themselves to Dr. King’s dream' after facing criticism from some civil rights groups earlier in the day."
"Trump's message differs from previous presidential proclamations marking the holiday, which focused largely on working as a nation to continue to fight for racial justice. Trump's proclamation avoids talking about imbalances in how Black people are treated in America."
" 'Today, we honor the brave men and women who remain steadfast in their commitment to law, order, liberty, and justice for all,' Trump said. 'We renew our resolve to honor our heritage, reclaim our freedom, and recommit to the truth that America is, was, and forever will be a great Nation.' "
"Trump's 2026 proclamation came at the end of the day after criticism from groups like the NAACP that he had not recognized the holiday."
"Before the proclamation was released, National President Derrick Johnson said in a statement that 'Donald Trump has zero interest in uniting this country or recognizing its history and diversity.' "
Comment: "All presidents have issued an official proclamation recognizing Martin Luther King Jr. Day since Reagan made it a holiday."
Comment: It seems that Trump issued his proclamation late in the day, only after prodding and criticism.
‘No longer in my hands’: How Hill Republicans stopped caring about DOJ releasing the Epstein files
https://www.politico.com/news/2026/01/19/epstein-files-release-delay-00735612
Comment: "One month after the congressionally mandated deadline to release all its files on convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, the Justice Department has made only a fraction of the files public — and it remains silent on its plans to fully comply with the law."
"Also keeping quiet about the DOJ delays are congressional Republicans, almost all of whom voted in November to release the records after spending months heeding President Donald Trump’s opposition to the move."
Katie Britt to Newsmax: Anti-ICE Rhetoric Fueling Surge in Assaults, Threats
https://www.newsmax.com/newsmax-tv/katie-britt-ice-minneapolis/2026/01/08/id/1241350/
Comment: "Sen. Katie Britt, R-Ala., on Newsmax on Thursday accused Democrats of fueling hostility toward federal immigration officers, saying rhetoric targeting Immigration and Customs Enforcement has led to a surge in assaults and threats against agents and contributed to a deadly confrontation now under investigation."
Comment: "Her comments came after a shooting in Minneapolis involving an ICE agent and a woman who died after a confrontation during an enforcement action."
Comment: Britt seems to be following the old GOP strategy of "When all else fails, blame the Democrats."
Comment: Does Britt not think that very aggressive (and sometimes illegal) tactics used by ICE and CBP against both immigrants and US citizens contributed to this confrontation?
Comment: "The shooting has prompted sharp criticism from Democrats, including House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., who said there was 'no evidence that has been presented to justify the shooting of an unarmed woman' and called for a criminal investigation of the agent involved. Jeffries also questioned the credibility of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem."
"Britt pushed back strongly on those remarks, calling them irresponsible while an investigation is ongoing."
Comment: Yet, Britt makes no mention of Kristi Noem quickly labeling the slain woman "a domestic terrorist" without a shred of evidence. Now who is being irresponsible?
"Britt said the Department of Homeland Security has defended the actions of the officer involved, noting that video shows the woman placing her vehicle in drive after being ordered to stop and exit the car. She said the ICE officer was clipped by the vehicle and hospitalized."
"Britt said she was in the Oval Office when President Donald Trump viewed the video and described him as committed to securing the border and enforcing existing immigration laws."
Comment: If Britt and Trump saw the same video that everyone else saw, they should get their eyes checked. Does Britt understand that federal agents can only legally fire at a moving vehicle if their life, or that of another, is in imminent danger? How can she explain the additional shots fired into the vehicle's side window after the vehicle had passed by the shooter? Clearly the vehicle driver was trying to avoid the ICE agent, and from the original video it looked like she had. The glancing blow supposedly inflicted by the vehicle appears to have been insignificant, given that the agent was videoed casually walking up and down the street immediately after the shooting.
Ex-Arizona lawmaker who questioned election integrity gets probation for using forged signatures
Comment: "A former Republican lawmaker who questioned the integrity of Arizona’s elections and served as a leader for the conservative group Turning Point Action was sentenced Tuesday to probation and a five-year ban on running for public office for using nominating petitions that contained forged signatures in a bid to qualify for a 2024 primary election."
"Austin Smith, 30, pleaded guilty in mid-November to charges of attempted fraudulent schemes and practices, and illegal signing of election petitions. He had acknowledged trying to use petitions with forged signatures that he knew were false and forging a dead woman’s signature on a nominating petition."
Trump administration thanks the media for keeping quiet before the strike that captured Maduro
Comment: "Secretary of State Marco Rubio credited news organizations that had learned in advance about Saturday's strike that led to the capture of Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro with not putting the mission in jeopardy by publicly reporting on it before it happened."
"Rubio's acknowledgment was particularly noteworthy because Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has cited a mistrust of journalists' ability to responsibly handle sensitive information as one of the chief reasons for imposing restrictive new press rules on Pentagon reporters. Most mainstream news organizations have left posts in the Pentagon rather than agree to Hegseth's policy."
Comment: The hypocrisy is Hegseth's false claim that journalists can't be trusted to responsibly handle sensitive information. The recent journalistic restraint disproves Hegseth's assertion. In fact, it was Hegseth's own mishandling of sensitive information (Signalgate scandal) that endangered military pilots during an airstrike against Houthi rebels in Yemen.
Prominent Jan. 6 defendants plan to march to Capitol to mark 5 years since attack
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/january-6-capitol-march-5-years/
Comment: "The former leader of the far-right group the Proud Boys and other defendants convicted for crimes connected to the Jan. 6, 2021, assault on the U.S. Capitol are set to return to Washington, D.C., for a march marking five years since the attack."
"Among those promoting the march is Enrique Tarrio, the former head of the Proud Boys who was convicted of charges including seditious conspiracy for his role in the Jan. 6 attack and sentenced to 22 years in prison. Tarrio was among the more than 1,500 defendants convicted of Jan. 6-related crimes who received clemency from President Trump on his first day back in the White House in January 2025."
"Tarrio announced the event on social media, writing on X on Dec. 22 that it will be a 'PATRIOTIC and PEACEFUL march'."

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=95NB43xmkLw
Comment: The first portion of this video points out that Pam Bondi and Pete Hegseth also cautioned against the military executing illegal orders. Yet the Trump administration is threatening Sen. Kelly, a retired Navy Captain, with a DoD investigation and a potential court martial for making a similar cautionary statement.

Trump’s Own Mortgages Match His Description of Mortgage Fraud, Records Reveal
https://www.propublica.org/article/trump-mortgage-fraud-florida-principal-residences
Comment: "The Trump administration has argued that Fed board member Lisa Cook may have committed mortgage fraud by declaring more than one primary residence on her loans. We found Trump once did the very thing he called 'deceitful and potentially criminal'."
Comment: "For months, the Trump administration has been accusing its political enemies of mortgage fraud for claiming more than one primary residence."
"President Donald Trump branded one foe who did so 'deceitful and potentially criminal.' He called another 'CROOKED' on Truth Social and pushed the attorney general to take action."
"But years earlier, Trump did the very thing he’s accusing his enemies of, records show."
"In 1993, Trump signed a mortgage for a 'Bermuda style' home in Palm Beach, Florida, pledging that it would be his principal residence. Just seven weeks later, he got another mortgage for a seven-bedroom, marble-floored neighboring property, attesting that it too would be his principal residence."
"In reality, Trump, then a New Yorker, does not appear to have ever lived in either home, let alone used them as a principal residence. Instead, the two houses, which are next to his historic Mar-a-Lago estate, were used as investment properties and rented out, according to contemporaneous news accounts and an interview with his longtime real estate agent — exactly the sort of scenario his administration has pointed to as evidence of fraud."

Video: 'Consequences for abject war crimes': Hegseth in 2016 takes a very different tone on unlawful orders - December 03, 2025

U.S. requested resumption of migrant flights to Venezuela after Trump's airspace closure assertion, Maduro's government says
https://www.cbsnews.com/news/us-requested-resumption-migrants-flights-venezuela/
Comment: "U.S.-operated flights returning deported migrants to Venezuela will continue despite President Trump's assertion that the airspace of the South American country should be considered closed."
"The government of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro on Tuesday announced that the twice-weekly flights will go on following a request from the Trump administration. That reverses a Venezuelan government Saturday announcement indicating that U.S. immigration authorities had unilaterally suspended the flights."
"An overflight and landing application submitted Monday by U.S.-based Eastern Airlines requests permission for an arrival Wednesday. The agreement authorizes flights on a Boeing 777-200 from Phoenix, Arizona, to land at Maiquetía International Airport, the Venezuelan government said. The application was made public Tuesday by Venezuela's foreign affairs minister."
Trump move to pardon Honduras’s ex-president shows counter-drug effort is ‘based on lies and hypocrisy’
Comment: "He was a Latin American president accused of colluding with some of the region’s most ruthless narco bosses to flood the United States with cocaine."
" '[Let’s] stuff the drugs right up the noses of the gringos,' the double-dealing politician once allegedly bragged as he lined his pockets with millions of dollars in bribes and turned his country into what many called a narco-state."
"The description might sound like a sketch of Venezuela’s authoritarian president, Nicolás Maduro, who Donald Trump’s administration has accused of being a 'narco-terrorist' kingpin and is trying to topple with a $50m bounty and a huge display of military might off the South American country’s Caribbean coast."
"But it is actually a portrait – painted by US prosecutors, no less – of the former Honduran president Juan Orlando Hernández, who Trump last week pledged to pardon, despite the fact that Hernández was sentenced last year to 45 years in prison for allegedly creating 'a cocaine superhighway to the United States'."
Comment: "Why would the US president use his 'war on drugs' as a justification for overthrowing Maduro – despite what many see as flimsy evidence that the Venezuelan leader really is a narco boss – while simultaneously offering a Get Out of Jail Free card to a man already found guilty of such crimes in a Manhattan federal court."
"Why had Trump spent recent weeks blowing up alleged narco boats in the Caribbean – with negligible impact on flow of drugs to the US – and at the same time decided to let a big-time trafficker convicted of smuggling far larger quantities of drugs off the hook?"
" 'It just shows that the entire counter-drug effort of Donald Trump is a charade – it’s based on lies, it’s based on hypocrisy,” said Mike Vigil, the former DEA chief for international operations. 'He is giving a pardon to Juan Orlando Hernández and then going after Nicolas Maduro … It’s all hypocritical.' "
In Announcing Pardon of Drug Trafficker While Threatening Venezuela, Trump Displays Contradictions

Trump to pardon ex-Honduras leader serving drug trafficking sentence in US
https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/nov/28/trump-pardon-honduras-hernandez-drugs
Comment: "Hernández was convicted in 2024 of accepting millions in bribes to protect cocaine shipments"
Comment: "In March of last year, Hernández was convicted in US courts of accepting millions of dollars in bribes to protect US-bound cocaine shipments belonging to traffickers he once publicly proclaimed to combat. Speaking during closing arguments at the trial, assistant US attorney Jacob Gutwillig said Hernández had 'paved a cocaine superhighway to the United States'."
Comment: "Trump’s announcement to pardon Hernández comes even as the Republican leader casts himself as being tough on combating drug problems."
" Trump’s administration designated multiple drug cartels as 'foreign terrorist organizations' and used claims of a 'war on drugs' to justify deadly airstrikes on vessels across the Caribbean and Pacific. These strikes have prompted the United Nations and other humanitarian organizations to condemn the operations as extrajudicial executions."
Comment: Trump claims to be fighting drug trafficking and then pardons one of the leaders in the activity. How's that for hypocrisy! Who says crime doesn't pay, especially when you've got friends like Donald Trump?

'Mind-Boggling': Ex-White House Aide Exposes GOP's 'Absolutely Insane' Trump Hypocrisy
https://www.yahoo.com/news/articles/mind-boggling-ex-white-house-030559729.html
Comment: "Sarah Matthews, an ex-White House aide to Donald Trump, took on the current administration’s 'gaslighting' on Friday after the president boosted a social media post calling for the execution of Democrats in Congress."
Comment: "In addition to Trump sharing a Truth Social user's call to 'HANG THEM' in response to Democratic veterans urging military members to refuse unlawful orders, he declared that 'SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR' was 'punishable by DEATH' in another post."
"Matthews — a White House deputy press secretary in Trump’s first term who resigned after the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol — said it’s 'absolutely insane' that White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt and other Trump officials are defending the post."
" 'If this was any other president, we would be having conversations about the 25 Amendment if they were calling for the opposing party — members of the opposing party, to be hanged,' Matthews said."
"She countered Leavitt for claiming that the Democrats could incite violence due to their video."
“ 'To me, it looks like the president is the one very clearly inciting violence here,' Matthews said."
"She also pointed to politicians and others talking about a need to 'tone down the rhetoric' in the aftermath of Charlie Kirk’s assassination."
“ 'But instead the president is the one who keeps continuing to just ratchet it up,' she said."

Republicans hyped the Epstein files for years. Now Trump is under pressure to deliver
Comment: "What began as a campaign-trail promise to release the Jeffrey Epstein files has become one of the most fraught tests of President Donald Trump’s second term — opening a rift in his political coalition and raising the stakes for an administration now under intense pressure to produce documents that may fall far short of public expectations."
"The issue came to a head this week. After months of efforts by the Trump administration to quash it, both chambers of Congress passed a measure forcing the release of the Epstein files with near-anonymous [SIC] support. Trump, who changed course days before the vote to bless the effort, signed the legislation Wednesday, starting a 30-day window for the Justice Department to deliver the records."
"Expectations are sky-high, fueled by years of conspiracy theories promoted by many now in Trump’s orbit. Yet with some claims — such as a rumored 'client list' of prominent men linked to Epstein — already deemed nonexistent by federal officials, the anti-establishment coalition Trump built in part by elevating those theories is showing cracks that may widen with the anticipated release."
Comment: Are previous unfounded statements (lies?) and exaggerations going to come back to haunt the MAGA faithful, or is the ugly truth about certain elite perverts going to be covered up? If nothing new and substantial is discovered in the Epstein files, we may never truly know which of these two possibilities is true. That is going to frustrate a lot of MAGA voters.
Justice Department quietly replaced 'identical' Trump signatures on recent pardons
Comment: "The Justice Department posted pardons online bearing identical copies of President Donald Trump’s signature before quietly correcting them this week after what the agency called a 'technical error'."
"The replacements came after online commenters seized on striking similarities in the president's signature across a series of pardons dated Nov. 7, including those granted to former New York Mets player Darryl Strawberry, former Tennessee House speaker Glen Casada and former New York police sergeant Michael McMahon. In fact, the signatures on several pardons initially uploaded to the Justice Department's website were identical, two forensic document experts confirmed to The Associated Press."
"Within hours of the online speculation, the administration replaced copies of the pardons with new ones that did not feature identical signatures. It insisted Trump, who mercilessly mocked his predecessor’s use of an autopen, had originally signed all the Nov. 7 pardons himself and blamed 'technical' and staffing issues for the error, which has no bearing on the validity of the clemency actions."
"The questions about Trump’s signature come amid a new flurry of clemency and weeks after the president claimed to not even know Changpeng Zhao, a crypto billionaire he pardoned last month. He said in an interview with 60 Minutes that the case had been 'a Biden witch hunt'."
Comment: "Trump has been an outspoken critic of Biden's use of the autopen to conduct executive business, going as far as to display a picture of one such device in place of a portrait of his predecessor in a new 'Presidential Walk of Fame' he created along the West Wing colonnade. His Republican allies in Congress last month released a blistering critique of Biden's alleged 'diminished faculties' and mental state during his term that ranked the Democrat’s use of the autopen among 'the greatest scandals in U.S. history'."
Comment: Evidence suggests that an autopen was used to sign some of Trump's pardons. Yet Biden was criticized unmercifully by Trump for using an autopen, and Trump suggested, without evidence, that others, besides Biden had used an autopen to sign pardons while Biden suffered "diminished faculties." Please contrast that unproven claim about Biden with Trump's recent statement that he did "not even know Changpeng Zhao, a crypto billionaire he pardoned last month." How's that for hypocrisy?
Trump Organization requested record number of foreign workers in 2025
https://thehill.com/business/5603478-trump-organization-foreign-workers-2025/
Comment: "The Trump Organization requested 184 foreign workers to work across various company properties, a record number that has increased over the years."
"The company sought to hire workers through H-2A and H-2B visas for temporary positions at Mar-a-Lago, two golf clubs and at Trump Vineyard Estates in Charlottesville, Va., according to data from the Department of Labor."
"Over the course of Trump’s first term and the first nine months of his second term, the Trump Organization’s visa requests increased from 121 in 2021 to 184 in 2025, according to Forbes. Overall, the company has filed to hire 566 foreign laborers, primarily to work as servers, farm workers, kitchen staff, clerks and housekeepers."
Comment: "Trump previously defended bringing in foreign workers on visas on Fox News’s 'The Ingraham Angle' on Tuesday. He argued the U.S. does not have enough people with 'certain talents' to do particular jobs."
Comment: So, Trump is saying he has to bring in foreign workers because U.S. laborers don't have the talents to "work as servers, farm workers, kitchen staff, clerks, and housekeepers." Unbelievable hypocrisy!
BBC: Trump: US to boycott G20 in South Africa over white farmer 'abuses'
https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/ckgzek4rl8lo
Comment: "Donald Trump has said the US will not attend the G20 summit in South Africa over widely discredited claims that white people are being persecuted in the country."
"The US president said it was a 'total disgrace' that South Africa is hosting the meeting, where leaders from the world's largest economies will gather in Johannesburg later this month."
"South Africa's foreign ministry described the decision by the White House as 'regrettable', while a spokesman for the foreign ministry, Chrispin Phiri, told BBC News that the success of the summit will not 'rest on one member state'."
"None of South Africa's political parties claim that there is a genocide in South Africa."
"That includes parties that represent Afrikaners and the white community in general."
"Speaking to the Newshour programme, Mr Phiri said that Trump was "orchestrating an imagined crisis… using the painful history of South Africa's colonial past".
Comment: So, Trump is boycotting a major economic conference attended by some of the largest industrial economies in the world because of an imagined persecution of a group of white settlers in South Africa. Since when does Trump care about minority racial populations, given his statements made against and actions taken against non-white racial minorities in the United States?
California Republicans vow to continue fighting Prop 50
https://www.politico.com/news/2025/11/05/california-republicans-fighting-prop-50-00639097
Comment: So it's OK for Republican controlled state legislatures around the country to redraw congressional districts around the country for political advantage, but it's not OK for California citizens to directly approve the redrawing of their congressional districts in response to Republican efforts elsewhere? In a perfect world, congressional districts would not be subject to political manipulation. However, Trump and the GOP started this redistricting practice, and the vast majority of California citizens felt a need to respond.
Kash Patel Takes $60M FBI Jet to See Girlfriend 2 Years After Slamming His Predecessor for Using Government Plane
Comment: "Two years after criticizing his predecessor Chris Wray for 'private jet travel that he pays for with taxpayer dollars to hop around the country,' FBI Director Kash Patel allegedly used a government plane to see his girlfriend"
"Patel flew on a $60 million FBI jet to see country singer Alexis Wilkins, who he is dating, perform 'The Star-Spangled Banner' at a wrestling event in State College, Pa."
"After reports surfaced that he used a government-owned plane to travel to Pennsylvania to see his girlfriend perform the national anthem, Patel reportedly fired the official in charge of the FBI's fleet of airplanes, Stephen Palmer"
Comment: "Patel's personal travel has been a source of controversy since at least April, when CBS News reported that he used a government-owned jet to make two separate round-trip flights from Washington, D.C. to New York City in the same weekend, among other personal trips."
"In April, the FBI director traveled to a New York charity hockey event, then returned to Washington, D.C. The following night, he returned to watch the New York Islanders play the Washington Capitals in a luxury box alongside Wayne Gretzky, according to CBS News."
"Vermont Sen. Peter Welch questioned Patel about his personal travel in a September hearing. 'By the way, everyday FBI agents who are assigned in Washington don’t get to fly home on a private jet,' Welch told Patel. In response, Patel pointed out that Congress had made it 'mandatory' for him to use private jets."
" 'Well, we didn’t make it mandatory that you go to UFC games with Mel Gibson,' Welch replied, referencing a March MMA fight in Las Vegas that Patel attended alongside the actor."
Dick Cheney created the ground for Trump’s excesses, despite their differences

Comment: Not sure if this can be classified as "hypocrisy", but it is ironic. Hate to speak ill of the recently deceased, so on a positive note, let's just say that Dick Cheney (and his daughter Liz) did speak out against Trump during the 2024 election and endorsed Kamala Harris. However, some of Dick Cheney's actions as vice president under George W. Bush were troubling.

Mike Johnson Cornered Over Wild Trump Pardon Hypocrisy

Comment: "House Speaker Mike Johnson found himself tangled in his own rhetoric when confronted with President Donald Trump’s admission that he didn’t know the crypto billionaire he’d recently pardoned."
"CNN’s Manu Raju pressed Johnson on Capitol Hill about the apparent contradiction between his past attacks on President Joe Biden’s use of clemency and Trump’s own on-air confession during his 60 Minutes interview Sunday."
" 'Last week, you came here to these mics and you were very critical of Joe Biden’s use of the auto pen. You said he didn’t even know who he was pardoning, but last night on 60 Minutes, President Trump admitted not knowing he pardoned a crypto billionaire who pleaded guilty to money laundering. Does that also concern you?' Raju asked Monday."
"Johnson replied: 'I don’t know anything about that. I didn’t see the interview. You have to ask the president about that. I’m not sure.' "
"The exchange came just days after Johnson had accused Biden of being unaware of who he was pardoning, describing the actions as 'invalid on their face.' His comments followed a report released by the Republican-led House Oversight Committee that accused Biden’s aides of concealing signs of 'mental decline' and alleged he may have authorized pardons without full awareness."
